Evangel Men

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16.13-14 (NIV)

Evangel Men desires to encourage and equip men to become Godly leaders in our families, our church, and our community. We fulfill our purposes in three important ways: Shared Interests, Spiritual Growth, and Service.

Shared Interests

We schedule events throughout the year that give us an opportunity to build friendships, welcome men who are new to Evangel, and just "be men" for a while. Sometimes it may be hanging out for dinner or a simple activity like shooting pool together. We share the challenges of everyday life, but it's always a casual time to get out and connect with other guys. Check back for upcoming events, or join the men's mailing list below.

Spritual Growth

As men we sometimes like to go it alone – "we've got this". But spiritual growth is hindered in a vacuum. We don't always realize that we all share similar struggles because we often prefer to conceal them. Together we can overcome the things that hold us back from true strength and Godly character. By meeting together through group studies, conferences and retreats, we are able to discover what a Christian man looks like and lead those around us to a closer relationship with our God.

Service

Our next adventure as a ministry will be to explore how we can serve those in need in our congregation and in our community. God has some strong feelings about widows, orphans, and those who are alone and struggling. God has given us the strength, skills, and compassion to fill the gap. We hope to grow in this area, and add more opportunities to serve the future.
